Web interface overview

The xTool web application is the main interface for organisations. It is used to manage documents, organisation settings, users, API keys, integrations, notifications, and usage. See Getting started and Organisation and users.

Login and organisation switching

  • Login — Open the web application URL (from your environment), enter your username and password and sign in. The session stays active until you sign out or it expires. There is no OAuth for end users; access is by username/password only.
  • Organisation — When you have access to multiple organisations, use the organisation switcher (in the header or sidebar). All actions and data apply to the selected organisation. See Organisation and users.

Main sections

Web interface overview — main screen

Screenshot: web-overview-dashboard.png — Main screen after login: sidebar navigation (Overview, Documents with Inbound/Outbound sub-items, Tools, Management, Usage, Account) and Dashboard content — title, “current organisation / including subsidiaries” toggle, period (dates) selector, summary blocks (documents, transactions, API usage).

  • Overview (Dashboard) — The page shown after login. It may show a summary or quick links. From here you can go to Documents and other sections. See Documents interface.
  • Documents — Submenu: Inbound (received documents) and Outbound (created or uploaded by you). Here you view, create, upload, edit, send, and delete documents. See Documents interface and Creating documents.
  • ToolsValidation (upload XML and view validation report), Peppol Lookup (check participants and document types), AI Generator (if available). See Validation and conversion and Peppol.
  • ManagementOrganisation (organisation data, Peppol ID, subsidiary organisations/tree), Users (list, create, edit, delete, permissions), API (API keys, API logs), Integrations (Weclapp, SevDesk). See Organisation interface, Integrations interface and API keys and permissions.
  • UsageTransactions list and API logs. See Usage.
  • AccountProfile and Notifications (notification settings per event). See Notifications interface.

Permissions

Which sections are visible depends on user permissions (e.g. read organisations, read users, read API keys, read integrations, read usage). If a section is not visible, you may lack the required permission. See Organisation and users.

Localisation

The application may support multiple languages. In that case the language switcher (e.g. in the header) lets you change the interface language. The path may include a locale (e.g. /en/, /de/, /nl, /fr).
